Programs drive a community of mentors and mentees into relationships that share and grow together. To design your programs for success, you’ll learn some fundamentals on StellarUp programs.
On the user side this is what they can see:
1. Mentoring Track Types
The Mentoring Track Types panel is where you can see all types of mentoring programs available for your employees on the platform. You can significantly improve general user experience and relationships by adding new kinds of mentorships here. Be aware that they exist on a global level and have their own separate pages where you can create as many instances of them as your company demands.
The main screen contains important mentoring track type information, including the ability to apply certain actions. Let’s take a look at the columns:

Here, you can see the name and logo picture of the track type. If you have multiple track types, make sure their names are easy to follow and really stand out. Clicking either the name or the logo takes you to the mentoring track type’s Details (or Settings) page. |
Mentorship |
This is where you can see the nature of the mentorship offered by this mentoring track type. |
Icon |
In this column, you’ll be able to find a unique icon for the mentoring track type.

Participant 1 |
Here, you can discover how the first participant in this mentorship is called (e.g. mentor). |
Participant 2 |
Here, you can discover how the second participant in this mentorship is called (e.g. mentee). |
Colour |
This column reveals the main colour of the mentoring track type, displayed through code.

Sort |
The order of the mentoring track type as it’s visible on the platform. Lower numbers imply higher place in the hierarchy. |
If you click on most of the column titles, the list of mentoring track types will automatically sort the results based on your selection. For example, if you click on Colour, results will be ordered in an ascending or descending order based on the names of their colours.
2. Adding a Mentoring Track
To add more variety to your existing mentoring track types, you can easily do so by creating a new one. The process is simple and takes very little to complete.
To, click the Add Track Type button found at the top-right corner of the panel.
This takes you to a separate page used for the creation of the mentoring track type.
Fields and rules are split across two sections – Details and Settings.
Let’s go through the first one:

A dropdown menu from which you can select a ready template or parent type for the current mentoring track type. This allows you to quickly and easily build your new entry without having to manually establish most technical details. |
Tile Image |
Here, you can upload a custom image that will serve as the tile image for the mentoring track type. Relevant file size and type limitations are listed in brackets. |
Description |
A short overview of the mentoring track type, mostly useful for internal purposes. |
Color |
The main colour of the mentoring track type, selected from a separate colour palette.

Track limit |
A dropdown menu from which you can impose a limit (instances created) for the new mentoring track type. |
Sort |
A dropdown menu from which you can define the place in the hierarchy of the mentoring track type. |
Mentoring Track Type label |
A custom internal label for the new mentoring track type. |

Dropdown menus from which you can define custom labels for the new mentoring track type’s relationships, participants, mentors and mentees. If left blank, they’ll assume the standard mentor program labels. Options offer a lot of variety, so you’ll most likely find what best fits your newest mentoring track type. |
The Settings section of the page is more focused on rules and consists of yes-no sliders:

When you’re done, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
3 Mentoring Track Actions
There are two actions you can perform on your company’s mentoring track types – edit and remove. The two corresponding buttons can be found on the far-right of each row.
- Edit takes you to the same page used for the creation of the mentoring track type.
Change whatever you feel needs to be corrected and apply your settings. - Delete will erase the mentoring track from the platform. Be aware that there’s no warning and deletion will occur instantly.
